Uttarakhand extends Covid-19 curfew till September 21

Some states are witnessing an increase in cases of deadly Covid-19 due to which state governments are implementing new guidelines and extending the Covid curfew. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami extended the COVID-19 curfew in the state for one more week till September 21.

As per ANI, some relaxations have also been implemented during this period. The new guidelines state that wedding ceremonies will take place only with 50% capacity of the hall/venue with prior permission from the district administration. Whereas attendees with a certificate of full vaccination need not show a COVID-19 negative report and those coming without a certificate will have to mandatorily show a negative covid-19 report not older than 72 hrs. Water parks will be operated with 50% capacity and shops will open from 8 am to 9 pm, six days a week. Whereas all social, political, entertainment gatherings will remain prohibited in the state.

Meanwhile, other states are also speeding up with their vaccination process as the third wave of the virus is creating fear among people.
