Uttarakhand government closes school in three districts


Covid-19 cases have impacted the education system like never before and after that, a few months before schools and colleges of several states were opened with strict guidelines. Whereas sudden rise in Covid-19 cases has again led to a shutdown. Meanwhile, Uttrakhand Cabinet has decided to shut down the schools of the three districts due to the rise in Covid-19  cases and Kumbh Mela. These three districts are Haldwani, Dehradun and Haridwar. Classes from  1 to 12 have been closed.

Apart from this shutdown, the Government has also imposed Corona Curfew in Dehradun from 10 pm to 5. According to the tweet of Dehradun DM "Uttrakhand schools remained closed for classes 1 to 12 in Haldwani, Dehradun and Haridwar till the 30th of April. Night curfew will be implemented from tomorrow following the cabinet order .

The Government has reopened the school in January and February but now again it has been shut down as many parents were pushing for the closure of the school due to the rise in Covid-19 cases. Many other states including Haryana, Bihar and Delhi's Chief Ministers have closed the school due  to rise in Covid-19 cases.
