Omicron surge!
Covid-19 led New Variant Omicron case was reported in Uttarakhand's Dehradun.
The omicron cases was reported on Wednesday, also the authorities have warned for Night curfew and COVID-19 restrictions for the state.
According to the statement, "After the detection of one omicron case in Dehradun on December 22, a meeting was held on the chairmanship of the chief secretary on the measures to be taken to stop the spread of the virus.
The District collectors and chief medical officers were directed to take appropriate preparatory measures like bed availability in the Hospital along with oxygen and medicines." Further it said, "it was also decided to expedite the door-to-door survey for COVID testing and vaccination. If necessity arises there would be a discussion on the imposition of the Night curfew and Covid restrictions in the state." Said the statement in Hindi.
So far, India reported 200 cases leading to the deadly COVID omicron. The country is witnessing a rise in its daily omicron tally. Day after another the cases are being witnessed in some of the other states. With the arrival of the festive season, many states including Telangana, Uttar Pradesh,Madhya Pradesh have imposed a night curfew and Covid related restrictions in the state.
