Uttarakhand: Shops to close at 2 pm during partial lockdown; night curfew imposed from 7 pm to 5 am

The order of partial lockdown issued by the Chief Secretary said that all shops selling non-essential commodities and shopping malls that come under the urban areas of the state will close at 2 pm.


The Uttarakhand government on Tuesday announced a night curfew across the state between 7 pm and 5 am along with a weekly lockdown on Sunday in all districts of the state. The order of partial lockdown issued by the Chief Secretary said that all shops selling non-essential commodities and shopping malls that come under the urban areas of the state will close at 2 pm.

An online registration is mandatory for Delhi returnees as well as tourists and pilgrims. People also need to have a negative RT-PCR test report not more than three days old and the returnees should quarantine themselves at home. All schools, colleges, institutes and coaching centres will remain closed until the next order is issued by the state government while permission for online classes has been granted.

All public transport vehicles and gyms, cinema halls, restaurants and bars will operate with 50% seating capacity. Any kind of gathering or wedding is not allowed in the containment and micro-containment zone. Meanwhile, Uttarakhand reported the highest number of Covid cases of 3,012 on Tuesday.
