Uttarakhand to reopen the school for classes 6 -12 from August 1

The school will reopen keeping in mind the Covid-19 SOP's and the protection of students, staff and other non - staff members


Covid-19 cases are declining in the country, meanwhile schools and other educational institutions are opening with guidelines. Whereas educational institutions have been shut for more than a year and the classes have been running in the online mode.

The Uttarakhand government has decided to resume classes for students of classes 6 to 12 from August 1. The decision was taken in a meeting of the state cabinet shared by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday. The school will reopen keeping in mind the Covid-19 SOP's and the protection of students, staff and other non - staff members. The cabinet also decided to give 50,000 to candidates who clear the UPSC Prelims to prepare for the mains and to 100 candidates to clear PCS prelims. It also decided to give 50,000 to people who pass the written test of the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Combined Defence Services.

Few states like Rajasthan, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh have decided to reopen it's  schools for the students of class 9 to 12.
