Veteran actor Dilip Kumar's last rites to be performed at 5 pm with full state honours

Legendary actor Dilip Kumar breathed his last at Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai on Wednesday morning. The last rites of the 98-year-old will be performed at the Juhu Cemetery, Santacruz at 5 pm, according to a tweet from the late actor's official Twitter account. Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray alongwith his son Aditya Thackeray visited Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu's home and paid their last respects to the legend. Later, Aditya tweeted that Mr Kumar will be accorded state honours. Uddhav Thackeray's official account also tweeted that a state funeral will be conducted for him. Complete nation mourned the demise of Mr Kumar, including the Bollywood industry. Actor Shah Rukh Khan also visited Saira Banu to console her and paid his last respects to the actor. Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu got married in 1966 and shared a strong bond since then. He won maximum number of Filmfare awards and was also awarded the Padma Bhushan in 1991 and the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1994.
