Villager dies at LoC in Bandipora district during an army search operation

A 53-year-old man, Abdullah Hajam from the village of Gurez, died at the LoC during a search operation on Saturday. He was taken by the Army for questioning. According to the army, he slipped in the deep nalla and got injured in the search operation. Later he was taken to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The information was given by the unit of 06 Maratha LI (Light Infantry) army to police Post-Izmarg Gurez Bandipora.

Meanwhile,the custodial death has led to further investigation, in terms of facts and circumstances. The medical formalities were done by Sub District Hospital Gurez.
