Virat Kholi – Fastest Batsman to reach 12,000 ODI runs, breaking Tendulkar’ Record

Virat's captaincy this year has not been good but he has successfully earned 22,000 runs overseas and broke Sachin Tendulkar’s Record


India may have already lost the ODI series going on to Australia but captain Virat Kohli is not feeling the urge to stop reaching milestones. After earning 22,000 runs overseas in Sydney on Sunday, Virat Kohli became the fastest batsman to reach 12,000 ODI runs.

Virat broke Sachin Tendulkar's record with up to 12,000 faster runs in more than 50 game formats. Kohli needed 23 runs to reach the historic site and had no problem reaching the milestone in his 251 ODI. Kohli has 43 hundred and 59 - 50 and almost 60 ratings in a format he has dominated over the years.

Kohli is striving to get into the Indian Premier League (IPL) as he returns to the competition break after a forced break due to the epidemic. But Royal Challengers Bangalore got his mark as the tournament progressed, hitting 466 runs in 15 games.

2020 has not been a good year for Virat Kohli as India captain as the Asian giants have lost 5 back-to-back ODIs - 3 in New Zealand and 2 in Australia.Virat Kohli also did not hit the world championships in 2020 and it will be the first time since he started in 2008 that the Delhi striker finished outside the 100th ODI in the calendar year. Kohli was unable to reach a three-point level since the Night Test against Bangladesh in November 2019.
