Virat Kohli becomes first cricketer with 100M followers on Instagram
Virat Kohli the skipper of the Indian Cricket Team has recorded another century for himself but this time not the field as he became the first ever cricketer in the world to have 100 million followers on Instagram a social media platform.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) tweeted “Virat Kohli the first cricket star to hit 100 million followers on Instagram.” The 32 year old cricketer is also the first person in the Asia-Pacific region to reach such remarkable deeds. He is also the fourth most followed sportsperson on Instagram. The top three sports persons on the list are Cristiano Ronaldo the football star from Portugal on top followed by Argentinian footballer Lionel Messi and Brazilian football player Neymar Jr.
Kohli is looked on as one of the best batsmen in the world with 27 centuries in Test matches and 43 tons in ODI matches. In India for over two years Kohli has been the most followed person on Instagram.
