West Bengal extends Covid-19 restrictions till August 15. Whereas night curfew hours remain in place between 9 PM to 5 AM except for emergency and essential services.


Covid-19 cases are gradually increasing in a few states, whereas some states are implementing Covid-19 restrictions as well as some are implementing stricter guidelines to control the curb of Covid-19. West Bengal has extended Covid-19 restrictions in the state till August 15, whereas night curfew hours remain in place between 9 PM to 5 AM except for emergency and essential services. According to the press release, the state Government reiterated on wearing of masks, maintenance of physical distancing and health and hygiene protocol must be followed at all times.

Whereas the State Executive Committee of West Bengal State Disaster Management Authority recommended a further extension of restriction measures as already in force with a graded and calibrated approach to relaxation as required after a review of the current situation of the Covid-19  pandemic.
