The World Health Organization (WHO) on Friday authorized the use of Johnson & Johnson's Corona virus vaccine in emergency. WHO Senior Advisor Dr. Bruce Alyward hoped that J&J would be able to provide some dose in the coming months.

On Friday, the World Health Organization (WHO) authorized the use of Johnson & Johnson's Coronavirus vaccine in emergency. Additionally, this one-dose vaccine can now be incorporated in the international COVAX campaign through which vaccines are being distributed internationally, especially to poor countries. In a statement, the United Nations Health Agency has announced that a large-scale clinical trial found Johnson & Johnson's vaccine to be effective on the adult population.

The European Union gave the green signal to the vaccine in all countries the day before. WHO Director General Tedros Adhanom says that along with the new vaccines, they have to ensure that they become part of the global solution, not the reason why some countries and people are left behind. The J&J vaccine trial was carried on three continents. In this, it was considered 85% effective against standards like critical illness, hospitalization and death. Curiously, the vaccine has been effective in South Africa, where the new variant has created problems.

WHO Senior Advisor Dr. Bruce Alyward hoped that J&J would be able to provide some dose in the coming months. It is awaited that at least in July it can be vaccinated. Only one dose of this is powerful, so they are more enthusiastic about it. The vaccine has to be kept at a low temperature, so a single dose will make this work better.
