WHO States,''Vaccines Don't Equal Zero Covid''

The roll-out of vaccines will not by itself eliminate the deadly Coronavirus reported World Health Organization

The World Health Organisation (WHO) warned against complacency and what it said was a misconception resulting from incorrect information regarding vaccines and Covid eradication. Every individual has to protect themselves and mask, social distancing is important along with the available solution. WHO director Michael Ryan stated in a virtual news conference, "Vaccines do not equal zero Covid,".

On Wednesday , Britain became the first western country to approve a vaccine for general use with low risk and high efficiency, piling pressure on other countries to follow suit swiftly. Moreover, Director-general of WHO, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus stated that progress on vaccines gives us all a lift of positivity and we can now start to see the light at the end of the path of pandemic. Moreover, WHO is concerned that there is a growing perception that the pandemic is over.

"Many places are witnessing very high transmission of the virus, which is putting enormous pressure on hospitals, intensive care units and health workers." Global Covid infections passed 65 million on Friday.

According to the WHO's review of candidate vaccines, reportedly results of 51 are currently being tested on humans, 13 of which have reached final-stage mass testing. At least 1.5 million has died globally since the outbreak emerged in China last December, said sources.
