World Chefs Day 2021

World Chefs Day: A tribute to the chefs around the globe, celebrated on 20th October every year.

On every special occasion, everyone wants to go out to celebrate by having a tasty feast in a restaurant. World Chef Day is a tribute to the chefs around the globe who fill everyone's mouth with the best cuisines. World Chef Day is being observed on 20th October every year since 2004 when late Chef Dr Bill Gallagher termed this day as a remembrance of the chefs in everyone's lives.

Dr Gallagher, who was once the president of WorldChefs, is a network of over 100 chef associations and aimed to bring education, competition, networking and sustainability to the authority on cuisine.

This day was termed to acknowledge the world about the importance of a chef in society. It also promotes and creates awareness about pursuing a career in the food industry. Everyone across the globe is a chef who knows how to cook and serve people. It doesn't need a qualification for everyone to celebrate this joyful day.

The main aim to celebrate Chef day was to educate kids around the globe about the development of having correct and healthy eating habits and creating awareness about the importance of the food industry, promoting career options for the youth of the world. It also tells about the social responsibility of an individual towards the society as it is a day that brings joy and makes people help the needy. It also creates awareness about equality in household works.

In many countries like the USA, England etc. big non-government organisations contribute food donations in slums for the needy.

During the pandemic, World Chef Day was celebrated to help the people who were suffering from hunger and shelter throughout the globe. The initiative was taken by one of the prominent food company Nestlè.

In 2021, International Chefs Day will emphasize on property to ensure a healthy planet for future generations. It's important to show children the impact that the production and consumption of food have on the environment.
