The national capital is rising in its pollution level. With the arrival of the winter season, the capital city surges with pollution due to stubble burning. The city witnesses a choked environment due to which it creates a problematic environment. With the rise in pollution levels and ongoing festivals, it was not allowed to do idol immersion even in the Yamuna river. Even public gathering was not permitted as per the rule. Then after the end of Dussehra on the 10th day of Vijayadashami, the city witnessed littered waste in the river Yamuna. 

As per the Delhi pollution control committee (DPCC), implementing certain restrictions on idol immersion also DPCC issued an order issuing a fine of rupees 50,000. Meanwhile, it was also said that the material like flower waste, paper items should be removed and door to door collection vans will be sent to save the environment from getting hamper. Whereas the committee was also directed to keep an eye and strictly check the vehicles entering the capital city and carrying idols as its cargo.
