Aashiqui Actor Rahul Roy currently in ICU due to Brain Stroke

Rahul Roy suffers from Brain Stroke during his new film shooting LAC-‘The Battle in Kargil’ , admitted to ICU


Actor Rahul Roy, the star of 1990s hit film Aashiqui of Mahesh Bhatt's Production, suffered a brain stroke while shooting for his upcoming film LAC-‘The Battle in Kargil’. He is 52-year-old and currently admitted to the Nanavati hospital, where he is in the ICU. "It was extreme weather conditions that caused the stroke. He was rushed from Kargil to Srinagar and then to the Nanavati Hospital," according to sources. However, according to his brother, Romeer Roy confirmed the news and told the media that Rahul Roy is "recovering." The actor's family was later informed about his health condition.

Other than Rahul Roy, the film's ensemble cast includes Nishant Singh Malkhani and the film is being directed by Nitin Kumar Gupta while being co-produced by Chitra Vakil Sharma and Nivedita Basu. In the film, Rahul Roy plays the role of a colonel on the other hand Nishant stars in the lead role. The film's crew was for a 17-day shoot in Kargil. Apparently, they reportedly had two more days left when Rahul's health condition deteriorated.

Rahul Roy became a famous star with Aashiqui. He also featured in Mahesh Bhatt's movies  Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Aayee and Junoon, Sapne Sajan Ke, Naseeb. Apart from that, he starred in several television shows such as Karishma - The Miracles Of Destiny and Kaise Kahoon. Rahul Roy participated and won the first season of the reality show Bigg Boss in 2006. Rahul Roy also ventured into filmmaking and started his production company known as Rahul Roy Productions.
