Abhishek Bachchan Injured His Right Hand

Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan injured his right hand while filming his next film in Chennai.

Abhishek Bachchan had to return to Mumbai for an operation and has now resumed his work. Recently, Amitabh Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan Nanda were spotted at Mumbai Lilavati Hospital. On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, rumors sparked of Abhishek being hospitalised. Now a picture of his broken hand has surfaced social media as the actor confirmed he had a "strange accident" last Wednesday.

Abhishek Bachchan wrote: "I had a strange accident in Chennai last Wednesday on the set of my new film. I broke my right hand. I needed surgery to fix it! So a short trip home to Mumbai. Surgery done, everything mended and poured. And now back in Chennai to get back to work. Like you said ...The show must go on! And as my father said ... Mard ko dard nahin hota! Ok, ok, ok, it hurt a bit. " He also added a thankful note for his fans for their wishes. "Thank you everyone for your wishes and messages soon,” he said.

Many Bollywood stars wished Abhishek Bachchan a speedy recovery. Co-star Riteish Deshmukh commented, "Get well soon my brother." Sonali Bendre, Manish Malhotra, Zoya Akhtar, Karan Johar and others dropped red hearts on Junior Bachchan's post. Bobby Deol said, "I hope you feel better" while Nurse Shweta Nanda said, "The best patient ever." Sikander Kher commented: "It never looked better ... the mask and noose are a mood."

This is not the first time Abhishek Bachchan has broken his hand. The actor broke his hand during promotions for his film Dhoom 3 starring Aamir Khan and also broke a finger of his left hand.
