Actor Ashiesh Roy dies due to kidney failure

Ashiesh Roy died on Tuesday due to kidney failure. Treatment could not be continued because of financial problem


Famous TV actor Ashiesh Roy passed away on Tuesday morning around 4 am at his Mumbai residence and left the TV and film industry shocked. The 55-year-old actor died due to kidney failure on 24th November at night. He had been suffering from kidney ailment for a few years now and had been hospitalized on a frequent basis.

"For some years, He was suffering from kidney disease. He was trying hard to get back on his feet and was successful to an extent in his career and take it to a successful future. Both his kidneys were damaged. Despite being ill, he was getting his treatment and was demanding work from people because he needs some money for his treatment." revealed a source. The late actor asked for financial help on social media when he was admitted to the hospital for intensive care, in May 2020. 

Actor Sooraj Thapar, who worked with Ashiesh Roy and also a part of the serial title as 'Rishta Sajhedari Ka', revealed that Roy complained of breathlessness before collapsing. “His staff, who was with him, offered him tea but he refused and started breathing heavily. Then suddenly he collapsed around 4 am. He had a kidney ailment and was undergoing regular dialysis too,” Sooraj told PTI. Ashiesh will be cremated at 7 pm and his friends, family, television team and fans tweeted his condolences.

Ashiesh, who was a popular actor of the entertainment industry since the late 1990s has also spent a couple of year with television industry and featured in shows like Banegi Apni Baat, Remix, Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi and Jeannie Aur Juju and had worked in films such as Emraan Hashmi-starrer Raja Natwarlal and MP3: Mera Pehla Pehla Pyaar.
