Veteran actor Mithilesh Chaturvedi sadly demised on Thursday morning due to cardiac arrest, as per a family member. Mithilesh Chaturvedi is popularly known for starring in films such as Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, Koi Mil Gaya and Ready.

 

The veteran actor was just 68 years old. The actor had gone through a cardiac arrest ten days ago and was immediately admitted to Kokilaben Dhiruben Ambani hospital in suburban Mumbai.

 

Mithilesh’s son-in-law Ashish Chaturvedi told PTI that, “He was admitted to the hospital for eight to ten days as he suffered cardiac arrest. He had breathing issues and was undergoing treatment. He passed away today morning at 4:00 am due to cardiac arrest”. 

 

Late Mr. Chaturvedi started his acting career in 1997 with Bhai Bhai. He then delivered effortlessly fabulous performances in Hindi films such as Taal, Fiza, Asoka, Bunty Aur Babli, Krrish, Gulabo Sitabo and the popular web series Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta story.

 

The character artist was also featured in series such as Kayamat and Sindoor Tere Naam ka. According to sources, the actor also bagged a role in a web series titled Talli Jodd. His work will always be a memorable tribute to him. 

 

Many filmmakers and actors took it to social media to pay their tributes. Hansal Mehta, a filmmaker who collaborated with Mithilesh Chaturvedi on Scam 1992 was one of the first from the film industry to pay his tribute to the late artist. Mehta took it to Instagram stories as he said: “RIP Mithilesh Ji” with a smiling picture of the veteran actor. 

 

Mithilesh Chaturvedi’s last rites will be held today in the evening at a crematorium in Versova.
