Well, known actress from shows like Balika Vadhu and Badhai Ho Surekha Sikri has passed away at the age of 75 of a cardiac arrest.
Surekha Sikri died in Mumbai this morning due to a Cardiac arrest at the age of 75, she suffered from brain strokes earlier in 2018 and 2020, the news was confirmed by the actress's manager. An award-winning actress Surekha Sikri left the world today, many actors and political leaders including, Delhi Chief Minister paid condolences for late the late actress, through their social media account. Meanwhile the actress's family also asked people to respect their privacy.
The actress made her debut in the 1978 film Kissa Kursi Ka and did many roles in the entertainment industry. She also received the best-supporting actress's thrice. Born and brought up in UP, she graduated from the National School of Drama (NSD) and won the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 1989. She was married to Hemant Rege and they have one son Rahul Sikri. She played the role of "dadi" in Balika Vadhu where her work appreciated and made her a household name. Sikri was last seen in, Ghost stories on Netflix.
