Actor Vikram Gokhale's suffers from multiple organ failure

His condition is critical…


Veteran actor Vikram Gokhale is still in a critical condition. The actor, popularly known for his roles in films like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Bhool Bhulaiyaa, was hospitalised last night.

Vikram was admitted to a private hospital in Pune following health complications, doctors had said.

A very close family friend of Vikram Gokhale has now shared an update about his health and mentioned that he is suffering from multiple organ failure.

Vikram Gokhale's family friend Rajesh Damale told IndiaToday.in, "In the last 24 hours, his health has been very critical. The doctors are trying their best. He has been fighting since the last 24 hours. Multiple organ failure has been reported.

Updates will be shared as and when there will be any development in his health. He is not responding to the medicines as expected by the doctors. However, the doctors are trying hard for his revival."

Meanwhile, PRO Shirish Yadkikar, Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital, Pune, said, "A meeting between Vikram Gokhale's family and doctors took place this morning at 10am. The actor is very much alive but critical and on medical support. News of his demise is wrong," reports news agency ANI.

On the work front, Vikram Gokhale was known for his on-screen roles in films like Parwana, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Agneepath, and Khuda Gawah.

The prolific star, who has established himself in Indian cinema, is also a recipient of the National Award for Best Actor in 2010 for his performance in the Marathi film, name Anumati.

 

He  has worked in popular shows like Ghar Aaja Pardesi, Alpviraam, Jaana Na Dil Se Door, Sanjeevni, Indradhanush.
