Aman Gupta shares why he wore his company's Logo T - Shirt

Aman Gupta is co - founder and Marketing Director of BOAT. BOAT is one of the number one headset equipment models in India which has gained a whopping 27.3% market share. His company managed to generate a whopping INR 500 crore income in the fiscal year 2020 regardless of the pandemic outbreak. 

 

Before forming BOAT, he worked CitiFinancial, KPMG, and Harman International (JBL). He is presently appearing on the television business reality show Shark Tank India as a judge aired on Sony TV. 

 

 

Shark Tank India is an Indian - language business reality television series. It is presented by Rannvijay Singha. The show is the Indian franchise of the American show Shark Tank. It shows entrepreneurs making business presentation to a panel of investors of sharks, who device whether to invest in their company. 

 

The seven sharks from Shark Tank India are: Aman Gupta, Ashneer Grover, Anupam Mittal, Vineeta Singh, Namita Thapar, Peyush Bansal and Gazal Alagh. 

 

According to Sony TV, the program received 62,000 applicants from India, out of which 198 companies were selected to present their ideas to sharks. It has received huge applause from audiences and startups. The audience is impressed with the way sharks make decision and say No to commercial speeches. 

 

He has talked about wearing his company's t - shirt to malls and airports for branding purposes. He had recently said that wearing the same clothes in several episodes of the show was his biggest regret. 

 

Aman took to LinkedIn to announce the beginning of his journey as a LinkedIn influencer. He taking about how he used to wear the T - Shirt with his company's logo to almost anywhere as he had no budget to advertise the brand in his initial days as an entrepreneur. 

 

He wrote to LinkedIn, "People who know me, know how many times I have worn this same BOAT t - shirt across the years. Firstly, much like Steve Job's strategy - it helps save time. But more importantly, I used to wear it for branding, put a larger than life logo of BOAT and wore it to malls/ airports etc. It had the best ROI ever, given that I have no budgets to actually advertise the brands initially."
