Amir Khan has been married twice and he has three children. Ira is Amir's daughter from his first wife Reena Dutta. Amir and Reena had married each other on April 18, 1986. But they filed a petition for mutual divorce and decided to seperate because of "temperamental differences". They got divorced after 16 years of marriage. They have two children, Ira and Junaid Khan.
In December 2005, Amir Khan had married again with producer - director Kiran Rao. Amir and Kiran had first met on the sets of the 2001 movie Lagaan. The two have a son, Azad Rao Khan, whom they welcome in December 2001. They announced their divorce after 15 years of marriage on July 2021.
On his birthday this year, Amir had confessed that he could not give enough time to his family, including Ira. He said, "It's my biggest mistake (not being able to spend enough time with my kids). But I won't blame my profession for it.
Amir impress his daughter Ira Khan contrary to her expectations. Amir told Ira he can not only do her make - up but also much better than what she does herself and is able to stand his claim.
The picture shows Ira with makeup getting candid with Aamir, who opted to wear her hairband as he posed for camera. Sharing the picture on Instagram, Ira wrote, "Guess who did my make -up? It's intresting when your father walks upto you and claims he can do your make - up better than you can...and he turns out to be right. Who needs YouTube tutorials?"
Various fans, reacted to Ira's post. A fan commented on the post, "coz he is the Mr Perfect." Another said, "What a duo!!" One more fan wrote, "Both of you are global iconic inspirational fraternity 2 me." A fan also called Amir "Wow Best Dad Ever." A comment also read, "Daughter & Dad duo! Earlier, Ira shared an adorable childhood photo of herself with Amir that she simply captioned with a hear emoji. On the profession front, Ira made her directorial debut with a theatrical adaption of Euripides' Medea, which feature Hazel Keech in the titular role. It premiered in different cities across India in December 2019. Ira has studied music, while her brother Junaid often assists father Amir Khan in filmmaking.
Amir Khan is an Indian actor, film director and producer who works in Hindi films. He was honoured by Government of India with the Padma Shri in 2003 and the Padma Bhushan in 2010, and received an honorary title from the Government of China in 2017. Khan's biggest commercial successes came with Ghajini, 3 Idiots, Dhoom 3, PK, and Dangal, each having held the record for being the highest - grossing Indian Film. Amir also created and hosted the television talk show Satyamev Jayate.
Amir will now be seen in Laal Singh Chaddha. The film is remake of Tom Hanks - starrer Forrest Gump. It also stars Kareena Kapoor and is set to release on August 11.
