Film Director Anil Sharma has started project "Gadar 2" featuring Sunny Deol, Utkarsh and Ameesha Patel.
In 2001, Sunny Deol rewrote the box office story with Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, directed by Anil Sharma, when the film became the biggest hit in Indian cinema. 20 years later, the director, along with his son Utkarsh, will bring the sequel to the houses.
"Anil Sharma and his writing team have been trying to figure out the plot of a Gadar sequel for some time and instead finally have the entire script. The first part of the sequel will also talk about the conflict between India and Pakistan, in which Sunny Deol took the whole country. Pre-production work has already started and the filmmakers are preparing to release the film in November," revealed a source close to development.
The sequel is being produced by Anil Sharma in association with Zee Studios. "Gadar was an emotional freak when Tara Singh (Sunny Deol) fought all of Pakistan for the love of his life, Sakeena (Ameesha Patel). In the second part, the creators focused on the emotions of father and son,” added the source.
Apparently on the occasion of Gadar's 20th anniversary, Anil Sharma said, "The whole world wants Tara Singh to return and I would like to make 10 films about this character. But it is difficult to make Gadar 2." The film is full of emotion, romance, drama and grandeur. "Gadar 2 will soon be announced, you can assume that I have this bomb."
