B-town’s low key Diwali festivities midst pandemic

As Diwali is around the corner, a glimpse inside B-town’s celebration


Mom-to-be Kareena Kapoor, had a mini celebration accompanied by mom Babita and her fashion designer friend, Masaba Gupta. The get-together was held at her manager, Poonam Damania’s residence. Poonam Damania shared a picture on social media with Kareena and Masaba, captioning it, “No better way to enter the festivities season than my favourites #babitakapoor Kareena Kapoor and Masaba Gupta.” The 40-year-old actress was seen wearing a sober salwar kameez pairing it with red dupatta, flaunting her baby bump.

While Sunny leone and her husband Daniel Weber, have been living in California, USA since last five months along with her three kids. In an interview with Bombay Times she revealed that, “Like every year, it’s going to be with family and this time around we have something special planned for kids.” Being Punjabi by heart she told about her festive outfit choice saying, “As a mom I never stop running around everywhere, so fitted salwar-kameez is my go to outfit when it comes to traditional festive wear, if I’m with the children.”

Amrita Rao, new mommy in town along with husband RJ Anmol welcomed their first baby boy on November 2. “This Diwali will truly be special with our new born. The family is all together so our son Veer will be celebrating his first Diwali full Barjatya style with his dada-dadi, nana-nani, his bua and masi and of course his parents. This Diwali will be at home. Also, we are not sending any gifts nor expecting any because safety comes first, emotions later.”

Sanjay Dutt has taken off to Dubai with his wife Maanyata and kids Shahraan and Iqra to celebrate Diwali. According to a source, “Sanjay will not have any vibrant celebrations for Diwali this year owing to the restrictions of the pandemic. It will be a low key family affair this year. The superstar wishes to spend some quality time with the family before he is all set to be back on sets for KGF 2.”
