As actor Bhumi Pednekar completed five years within the industry, she shared an event that gave her the most important 'Jhatka'. The 31-year-old actor shared that she had to require a loan of Rs 13 Lakh to urge herself enrolled during a film school, where she failed. She stated that "I failed film school not because I want to be not an honest actor but because I want to be not disciplined enough which was the most important 'Jhatka'. I was like I even have screwed up and that I had this 13 lakh loan on my head and it is a huge amount. I started looking for a job for survival and to protect my dream to act," she said.

The 'Dum Laga Ke Haisha' actor also shared that originally she was confused about the way to get into the industry as she was an outsider to the present film fraternity. She also nostalgically stated that "It has been 5 years and it still looks like a dream. I am not an accidental actor and that I say this point and again. This is something that I actually wanted to try to and that I have worked really hard to be here. As I'm not from a standard film family or I actually didn't have any contacts or in, I used to be very confused initially about the way to go about it," said Pednekar.

The actor has also worked as a casting assistant. She also added that "When I want to be doing casting, my intent wasn't to understand information about if I might wish to be an actor. I was just observing as a movie making student. I want to be a neighborhood of this world and whatever door opens wherever I'm going in. In fact, that's how my life has been - it's a journey of survival. I have only tried to survive through the years till Dum Laga Ke Haisha.
