Bharti Singh and her husband summoned by the Anti-Drugs Agency
The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) this morning raided comedian Bharti Singh and her husband harsh Limbachiyaa and have taken them for questioning after the anti-drug agency recovered “small quantities of cannabis” during their organized search operation.
Mr. Limbachiyaa was driven away in a white NCB van outside their apartment while Ms. Singh followed in a red Mercedes.
An NCB official was quoted by the PTI news agency, Ms Singh’s name only emerged during questioning of a drug peddler and during the search in their home they recovered a “small quantity of cannabis”. The official also added that the Anti-Drug Agency also carried out searches at two other locations in Mumbai.
The raids and inquiries came during an expanding scrutiny which began with the investigations and inquiries into the death of the actor Shushant Singh Rajput in June earlier this year.
