Day 1 Box Office: "Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya"

Shahid Kapoor - Kriti Sanon's Crosses Rs 6 Crore Mark

The film "Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya," directed by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah, debuted in theaters on Friday, earning a net of Rs. 6.50 crore on its opening day, as per Sacnilk.

Starring Kriti Sanon and Shahid Kapoor, it witnessed 8.80% morning show occupancy, with night shows peaking at around 25.46 percent. Bookings across India garnered Rs. 1 crore from 45,678 tickets sold for day one, according to another Sacnilk report.

"Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya" narrates the tale of an engineer (portrayed by Shahid Kapoor) who develops feelings for Sifra, an AI (Artificial Intelligence) female robot portrayed by Kriti Sanon, resulting in a series of comedic mishaps.

Produced by Dinesh Vijan, Jyoti Deshpande, and Laxman Utekar, the film is helmed by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah. Additionally, veteran actors Dharmendra and Dimple Kapadia play significant roles in the movie.

Film critic Saibal Chatterjee awarded "Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya" 1.5 stars out of 5, expressing that despite the song and dance sequences and attempts at humor, the film falls short.

Chatterjee noted the heavy reliance on the chemistry between Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon to compensate for its shortcomings.

However, he concluded that the film's progression feels mechanical and lacks diversion, likening it to a substandard automaton from the grey market running on empty.
