Ceremony entails in traditional Bengali culture!
Debina tied the knot with actor Gurmeet Choudhary in 2011. They fell in love with each other on the sets of the 2008 mythological television serial 'Ramayan', a remake of the classic Ramanand Sagar serial 'Ramayan' broadcast in 1987 on Doordarshan. While Gurmeet played the character of Lord Rama, Debina portrayed the character of Sita in the series that ran for around 18 months.
The couple announced the pregnancy in February 2022 on social media. Mom - to - be Debina Bonnerjee is radiating with pregnancy glow in a new pictures from her baby shower. She looks beautiful in a traditional Bengali look for the baby shower. The actress wore a maroon polka dot ethnic attire and completed her look with traditional jewelry, bindi and sindoor on her forehead.
Debina had recently posted a long note on social media where she opened up about her pregnancy experience. She wrote, "Saadh or desire in English. Desire for food of a pregnant woman is celebrated by the maternal side, by cooking all food the woman loves. "Baby shower" in western country and "Godh bharayi" in North India Saadh in Bengali. I did not particularly crave for anything during the whole journey...so all things my mother could think of she cooked. Wanted to keep it private and entirely up to myself as I already feel a company. Sending you all wishes."
She added, "Sharing the look I thought of creating. Wanted to look more bangali though but ended up looking Bihari or may be North Indian. Thanku @monkandmei for coming up this this maroon traditional outfit in such a short notice. Thanku everyone for keeping me in your blessings. P.s. I ate a few kilos."
Gurmeet and debina in an old interview, they had shared that, the duo eloped and tied the knot at a temple in Goregaon in 2006, without their families knowing about it. Later in 2011, they declared their marriage to the world.
On the professional front, Gurmeet Choudhary was last seen in the film, The Wife, which premiered on ZEE 5. Directed by Sarmad Khan and Produced by Vinit Masram, Ajay R. Yadav, and Monjoy Mukherji. The story revolves around a couple who has recently moved into a new apartment and starts experiencing some unnatural happenings in the house.
'The Wife' remains true to its genre but the pace of the film seems exhausting because it takes too much time for the big reveal. Though for a horror and suspense film, it manages to give you only a few spooks.
