Bhumi Pednekar looks amazingly chaotic in the scary world of corruption in the trailer of Durgamati.
Bhumi Pednekar is all set to play the role of Chanchal Chauhan, who is in prison and later taken to a sprawling mansion called Durgamati Haveli. Mahie Gill will be possibly going to play the role of investigating officer and Arshad Warsi is a powerful politician who can't be fiddled with. There's a mysterious spirit of a woman called Durgamati who enters into the body of Chanchal.
The terse and compact plot of Durgamati, is based on the Telugu hit film called, Bhaagamathie, which starred Anushka Shetty. The first thing that engulfs you in its world is the stunning camerawork and a few scary scenes that promise jump-scare moments. And as always, Bhumi Pednekar has immersed herself in a complex part.The film is all set to release on December 11 on OTT, Amazon Prime Video India. It's is directed by G Ashok and produced by Akshay Kumar, Cape of excellent Films, Bhushan Kumar, Krishna Kumar, and Vikram Malhotra. The film is produced by Abudantia Entertainment and T-Series Production.
Earlier titled Durgavati, the film's title went through a change, and talking about this thriller, Akshay Kumar quoted, "I am very excited to require DURGAMATI to its audience everywhere the planet via Amazon Prime Video. Our collaboration with Abundantia Entertainment and Vikram has produced much-loved films like Baby and Airlift and that I anticipate to adding thereto count".
Bhumi also shared her excitement "I'm super excited about my upcoming film Durgamati and it's an honor to play the lead during this conspiracy thriller. Being a fanatical fan of spine-chilling thrillers myself, I am delighted to be a part of such a gripping story," she said.
