Enforcement Directorate summons actor Yami Gautam in alleged money laundering case

Yami Gautam summoned for questioning on July 7.


The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday summoned actor Yami Gautam in an alleged money laundering case in violation of the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA). The ED has asked her to get her statement recorded next week. According to the officials, Ms Gautam did not disclose the amount of Rs 1.5 crore that was received in her private bank account. She will have to appear before the ED on July 7. Yami who recently got married to Uri director Aditya Dhar in a private ceremony was summoned by the ED last year as well but she failed to visit the office due to Covid-19 restrictions. The 32-year-old actor was last seen in Ginny Weds Sunny opposite Vikrant Massey. She has acted in a number of hit films including Vicky Donor, Bala, Uri- The Surgical Strike and Kaabil.
