Famous 'RRR' Actor Ray Stevenson Dies

SS Rajamouli Pens Heartbreaking Note for him..


Actor Ray Stevenson, known for his role as the British governor in movie RRR, and many more in the row has died at the age of 58.

 

On Sunday, May 21, Mr. Stevenson died, his publicist confirmed the news.

 

Any particular cause of death has not been revealed but he was reportedly hospitalized during filming on the Italian island Ischia, as per BBC. 

 

He died four days before his 59th birthday.

 

The official social media handle of RRR also confirmed the news and wrote, ''What shocking news for all of us on the team! Rest in peace, Ray Stevenson. You will stay in our hearts forever, SIR SCOTT.'

 

Director SS Rajamouli expressed his grief in a heartbreaking note and wrote in a  tweet, ''Shocking... Just can't believe this that he has gone.

 

Ray brought in so much energy and vibrancy with him to the sets. It was infectious. Working with him was immense joy. 

 

My prayers are with his family members. May his soul rest in peace.'' 

 

The actor was born in Lisburn, Northern Ireland, in 1964 and moved to England when he was young. 

 

According to Variety, Mr. Stevenson, began his career on TV in the 1990s and then began landing action roles in Hollywood films as well.

 

His first big-screen credit was opposite Helena Bonham Carter and Kenneth Branagh in Paul Greengrass' 1998 drama The Theory of Flight.
