Henry Cavill Won’t Be Seen As Superman In ‘Shazam 2’

Shazam2 will not see Henry Cavill as Superman


The DC’s upcoming film project “Shazam: Fury of the Gods” will not feature Henry Cavill reprising his role as Superman, despite multiple rampant rumors suggesting otherwise. Two prominent sources with direct knowledge with the DC production and actor Cavill’s confirmed to a prominent news agency that Cavill will not appear as Superman in Shazam: Fury of the Gods, the upcoming DC film.

This film will be a sequel to the 2019 hit film ‘Shazam!’ which was a critical success and at the box office it held itself on its own which raised speculation that it may hold a sequel. To address the rumors doing rounds recently, the director of Shazam, David F. Sandberg noted that at one point Cavill was supposed to put on the superman cape and tights n 2019’s Shazam! On Friday Sanberg tweeted “Halfway through shooting ‘Shazam’, the plan was still for Cavill to be in it.” Asher Angel was starred in ‘Shazam!’ as the teenage Billy Batson who becomes permeated by a wizard with powers that ultimately transforms him into the superhero Shazam.
