I can't work in film that requires more than 100 days of shoot

Akshay's big statement


Akshay Kumar is one of the most succesful actors in Bollywood at present. The actor delivers multiple hits each year. He has won several awards, including a National Film Award for Best Actor and two Filmfare Awards. He is now gearing up for the release of his first film of 2022, Bachchhan Paandey. Akshay says he does movies that are made on a controlled budget and are wrapped up within a time limit. 

 

Bachchhan Paandey is all set to hit the big screen on 18th of March. i.e. Holi. It is an Indian Hindi - language action comedy film directed by Farhad Samji and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. It stars Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Arshad Warsi. In the film, Akshay plays a gangster role. 

 

Talking about how budget remains an important aspects of filmmaking for him, the actor says, "I am a strong believer of the phrase 'Budget hit toh film hit'. I had never wasted money and I respect the time of my co - actors and the crew, so that the time can pay respect back to me." 

 

Sharing his criteria for working on a film, Akshay says, "No one can give a film more than 45 to 50 days and if you shoot a film in this time, your budget will always be under control. I can't work in a film that requires more than 100 days of shoot." 

 

Akshay also claims that he is not a method actor and says, "I'm not the one to lock myself in a room. For me, one should act and go home." 

 

Akshay Kumar will soon be seen in 'Prithviraj', 'Raksha Bandhan', 'Ram Setu', and 'OMG 2 - Oh My God! 2'. He has recently finished shooting for 'Ram Setu' and is currently busy to promoting 'Bachchhan Paandey'. 

 

He was last seen in a cameo role in Aanand L Rai's Atrangi Re is a 2021 Indian Hindi - Language romantic fantasy drama film. It is written by Himanshu Sharma. Produced by T series films, Yellow Productions and cape of good films. It starred Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush in lead roles and released on Disney + Hotstar during the Christmas weekend.
