I have made many mistakes in my profession; Aditi Rao Hydari

It's a team effort!


The 35 - year old actor, Aditi shares, "I can confidently say that I have made many mistakes in my acting profession. Sometimes when a film comes out, it's not what you imagined it to be...When you are young and aren't from the industry, you obviously stumble finding your way." 

 

The actor who works in across languages like - Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam, in a career spanning more than a decade. So, there are bound to be times where things didn't work out as well as she would have expected. 

 

She adds that she doesn't "necessarily look at it as a mistake". "I had the best intentions to doing it. What turns out is not in my hands. It's a team effort. I am a part of what it turns out to be, but I solely, can't be responsible for it," she elaborates. And that's why the Delhi - 6 (2009) actor does not have any regrets as far as her filmography is concerned. "I don't regret any of my choices. We have only one thing in control, and that is intention...My intention is to be part of real cinema and good stories, to make home in your heart." 

 

She was asked, did the actor always have this clarity, or is it something she learnt from the job? She replies, "It happened through experiences. I go by my instinct. I get in situations and learn along the way. " 

 

What bother her is people who don't take pride in what they do, "someone not doing their best". No job is small. It's a very native way of looking at it, but I love it, “Aditi ends. 

 

Her first theatrical release was Malayalam film Prajapathi in 2006. She rose to fame after her performance in Yeh Saali Zindagi (2011) a role that won her the Screen Award in the best supporting Actress category. 

 

She has subsequently starred in several sucessful Hindi Films including the Rockstar (2011), the horror - thriller Murder 3 (2013), the action - comedy Boss (2013) and the thriller Wazir (2016) 

 

Aditi Rao Hydari was recently seen in Hey! Sinamika. It is a 2022 Tamil - langauge romantic comedy film written by Madhan Karky and directed by Brinda.
