The sequel of Yash Raj Films' 2019 hit War to come up with the Jr NTR.

On Wednesday, 05 April 2023, Reports of the Telugu superstar JR NTR joining the Hrithik Roshan-led cast of the film War 2 were officially confirmed.

Trade analyst Mr. Taran said in a tweet: "It is official. Hrithik-Jr NTR in War 2. YRF pulls off a casting coup. Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR will share screen space for the first time in War 2.

Ayan Mukerji directs. YRF Spy Universe." Hrithik is expected to reprise his role of super spy Kabir; no details of what role Jr NTR will play have been revealed.

News agency ANI quoted a source as saying,

It's going to be just epic! Their battle of wits and their fierce showdown will definitely be action-packed and will be remembered on the screen.

War is now a true-blue pan-Indian film.

This move by Aditya Chopra enables the film to have a large audience appeal for a Hindi film and it also increases the box office potential of the film.

The southern part of India will connect at a more emotional level with the film because of JR NTR.”
