She becomes a mother for the first time!
Actress Kajal Aggarwal and her husband interior designer Gautam Kitchlu became proud parents to a baby boy on Tuesday April 19. On Wednesday, Kajal's husband Gautam took to Instagram and shared the good news with their fans and thanked them for their best wishes. He also revealed that they have names their son 'Neil Kitchlu'. Neil is a boy name of Iris origin which means 'passionate' or 'champion'.
"Our hearts are full and we are full of and gratitude. Thank You, everyone, for your love and blessings @kajalaggarwalofficial," Gautam captioned the post.
The couple had announced pregnancy in January this year. Gautam had hinted toward Kajal's pregnancy as he shared her picture and wrote, "Here's looking at you 2022" and dropped an emoji of a pregnant woman.
Kajal Aggarwal and Gautam Kitchlu got married on October 30, 2020 in a small private ceremony that was attended by only their immediate families.
She took to Instagram on today and shared all about the baby's birth, the sleepless night she's had and still, enjoying the company of her baby. She also shared a picture of herself, from when she was pregnant, with the post.
Sharing the picture, clad in a mustard - yellow silk dress, and flaunting her baby bump, the actress called the birth of her child 'exhilarating' and one of the most beautiful experiences ever.
Kajal wrote, "Excited and elated to welcome my baby Neil into this world. Our birthing was exhilarating, overwhelming, long, yet the most satisfying experience there could be! Holding Neil upon my chest covers with white mucous membrane and placenta within seconds of his birth has been my only trust with self-actualisation and such an indescribable feeling!
That one moment made me understand the deepest potential of love, made me feel tremendous amount of gratitude and realise the responsibility of my heart outside of my body - forever - and all at the same time."
She added, "Ofcourse it's not been easy - three sleepless night that bleed into early mornings, learning to latch and burp, squishy bellies and stretched skin, frozen pads, breast pumps, uncertainty, constant worry if you are doing it all right, all topped with dozens of anxiety."
"But it's also moment like these - Sweet cuddles in the wee hours of the morning, gazing into each other's eye with a look of confident recognition, adorable little kisses, the quiet moments when it's just the two of us, growing, learning, discovering each other and navigating this wonderful journey together. In reality, postpartum isn't glamorous but it sure it can be beautiful!"
Many celebrities dropped congratulatory messages for Kajal in the comment section. "Congratulations to both of you. Can't wait to meet baby Neil," Samantha Ruth Prabhu wrote.
Kajal Aggarwal is an Indian actress who primarily appears in Telugu and Tamil films, alongside a few Hindi films. On the work font, Kajal was last seen in Hey! Sinamika. It is a 2022 Indian Tamil language film written by Madhan Karky and directed by Brinda. The film stars Dulquer Salmaan, Aditi Rao Hydari and Kajal Aggarwal.
