Alluring Kangana Ranaut's movie titled Thalaivi, starring Arvind Swami, will hit theaters on September 10th. The film is a biographical film of former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, J Jayalalithaa. At the announcement, Zee Studios tweeted, “With a queen-size personality, Jayalalithaa's story has always been one of the BIG SCREENS! On September 10th, embark on an inspiring journey from film star to one of the most influential CM IN THEATER in your area”. Now the film will be released in three languages namely Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. 

Apparently the team stated, “As the film was shot in multiple languages, we want to release it in all languages on the same day. But with an alarming spike in COVID19 cases, subsequent precautions and bans, even though our film is ready for its premiere on April 23rd, we want to expand all support for government rules and regulations and have decided to postpone the release of Thalaivi. "

Kangana Ranaut, plays the character of Jayalalithaa and co-star Arvind Swami plays the role of the late Chief Minister MG Ramachandran Thalaivi. Other characters of the film are played by Madhoo, Prakash Raj, Jisshu Sengupta, Bhagyashree and Poorna. The film is directed by A.L. Vijay.
