Munawar won the Lock Upp Trophy
Comedian Munawar Faruqui recently emerged as the winner of the controversial reality show Lock Upp. The 'Badass Finale' of the show was held on Saturday night in which Munawar grabbed the trophy with over 18 lakh votes. He won the Lock Upp trophy along with a cash prize of Rs 20 lakh and a car, Anjali was named the second runner - up. Payal Rohatgi was declared the first runner - up.
Munawar had a romantic cameraderie with Anjali on the show and their closeness made headlines when she confessed her love for him. She mouthed, "I love you" to him and asked him he would come to Delhi to meet her family. The two built a strong fanbase as well, who named them Munjali. After Munawar's latest post, Munjali fan asked questions about Anjali.
The comic shared an image with an unknown lady on his Instagram stories. He nevertheless, hid part of her face with a coronary heart emoticon. In a picture, Munawar hugging her romantically and their cuddle moment spread like a wildfire. Munawar also added Diljit Dosanjh's song Lover to the post. He captioned it, "Bubby bubby tera ni mai."
Nazil, Faruqui's rumoured girlfriend, runs the Nazilx Instagram profile. She also has a YouTube account with over 60 thousand subscribers. Nazil has a Twitter account with almost 100,000 followers. As soon as Munawar's picture circulated, many die hard fans of #Munjali (Munawar and Anjali Arora) expressed their discontent and received mixed to reaction on their moment.
After a paparazzo account shared the picture, one of the fans wrote, "Where is Anjali?" Another social media user joked, "Someone take care of Anjali." While some addressed the mysterious woman as 'Bhabhi', others asked who she is.
It should be noted that Munawar hinted at having a girlfriend while he was in Lock Upp. He addressed her as Bubby at any time when he talked about her. During his time on Lock Upp, a picture of Munawar with his estranged wife and son had also gone viral. Kangana had shown the picture to him on the show, asking him for an explanation.
Munawar had said, "I'm not hiding anything, but we have been separate for the past one and a half years. The matter is in the court and I don't want to discuss that. It has been difficult."
The show produced by Ekta Kapoor, had Kangana Ranaut as its host and Karan Kundrra as the Jailor. The crew, the contestants, and other celebrities attended a success party held for the show in Mumbai on Sunday, May 08. Kangana Ranaut hugged Ekta Kapoor and posed for pictures with her as she arrived for the bash.
