MSD Announced via Facebook and shared the teaser
On Wednesday, the former India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni unveiled his first look from his debut web series, "Atharva:The Origin."
MS Dhoni shared the first look teaser of his upcoming mythological sci-fi web series on his Facebook handle. He wrote, "Happy to announce my new Avatar...Atharva...," on his Facebook post.
The former cricketer`s character could be seen fighting against an army of demons. Touted to be a "new age graphic novel", `Atharva: The Origin` is an adaptation of debutant author Ramesh Thamilmani`s unpublished book of the same name.
The upcoming series is backed by Dhoni Entertainment, the media company that was founded by Dhoni and his wife Sakshi Singh Dhoni in 2019. The legendary Indian cricketer can be seen with a rugged look, giving fans a glimpse into what they can expect from Atharva where he would be seen in the avatar of a superhero.
According to the statement given by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, he was quoted as saying by The Hindu, “I am thrilled to be associated with this project and it is indeed an exciting venture.
Atharva - The Origin is a captivating graphic novel with an engaging story and immersive artwork. Author Ramesh Thamilmani’s attempt to launch India’s first mythological superhero with a contemporary twist will leave every reader wanting for more.”
Currently, the legendary Indian cricketer is gearing up for the upcoming Indian premier league( IPL). He was one of the 4 players retained by Chennai super kings (CSK) ahead of the mega auction slated to be held in Bengaluru on February 12 and 13. Apart from Dhoni, CSK retained Ravindra Jadeja, Dhoni moeen Ali, and Ruturaj Gaikwad.
CSK has spent rupees 42 crores on retaining players. They will enter the auction with an overall purse of rupees 48 crores.
