Narcotics Control Bureau conducts raid at Shah Rukh Khan's residence 'Mannat'

Meanwhile, another team of NCB conducted a raid at the residence of actor Ananya Panday, daughter of actor Chunky Pandey.

Hours after Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan met his son Aryan Khan at Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai, a Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) team reached the star kid's home "Mannat" late Thursday afternoon for a "search operation." The NCB officials who visited the actor's residence were, reportedly, seen with some documents in their hands.

According to the statement of the NCB official, if they "visit a person or location for questioning that does not mean the person is a culprit or being investigated," reported TOI. He further added "there are several procedures being followed." Meanwhile, another team of NCB conducted a raid at the residence of actress Ananya Panday, daughter of actor Chunky Pandey.

Shah Rukh Khan, famously known as SRK, met his son Aryan Khan for the first time Thursday morning after he was arrested in connection with the drugs-on-cruise case. The 23-year-old Aryan was arrested along with seven others by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on October 3. SRK spent around 20 minutes in jail but did not converse with the media.

Aryan's bail plea was again rejected by the Mumbai local court on Wednesday citing his regular indulgence in "illicit drug activities." According to the court, accused Aryan Khan's WhatsApp chats prima facie revealed that he was a regular consumer of drugs. Hence, the special court rejected his bail plea saying that "it cannot be said that Khan is not likely to commit similar offence while on bail," Judge VV Patil said in his order.

The court also noted that though no drugs were found in possession of Aryan, six grams of "charas" was recovered from his friend Arbaaz Merchant's shoe and it seemed Aryan knew about it. The court said that all facts prima facie show that the accused "acted in conspiracy with each other."

Last week, Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri Khan had a video call with their son as according to the Maharashtra government Covid-19 guidelines, no outsider was permitted to meet the jail inmates earlier. The state government has relaxed Covid-19 restrictions owing to the festival season including the jail visit rules.

Reportedly, Aryan Khan had broken into tears over the video call with his parents. After the bail plea was rejected, an appeal was filed in the High Court challenging the lower court's order.
