Naseeruddin's wife, actress Ratna Pathak Shah said that there is a minor patch on his lung which the doctors have been treating.
Veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah has been diagnosed with pneumonia and was admitted to Hinduja Hospital in Khar, Mumbai on June 29. Mr Shah's manager told The Indian Express that the treatment is going on as a pneumonia patch has been detected on his lungs, and he might be discharged today or tomorrow. Naseeruddin's wife, actress Ratna Pathak Shah said that there is a minor patch on his lung which the doctors have been treating. She added that he is responding well to the treatment and will be discharged by tomorrow hopefully. The 70-year-old has worked in several films and has won numerous prestigious awards, such as, three National Film Awards, three Filmfare Awards and an award at the Venice Film Festival. The Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan have also been bestowed upon him for his contributions to the Indian cinema.
