NCB officer Sameer Wankhede appeals for protection against false allegations

New twists in drugs-on-cruise case, Wankhede writes to Mumbai Police Commissioner for protection against legal actions based on false claims by people with ulterior motives


Senior Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officer, Sameer Wankhede who is investigating multiple Bollywood celebrities including megastar, Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan. He wrote to Mumbai Police Commissioner, Hemant Nagrale saying that some people are planning to take legal actions against him based on falsely framed allegations. And some people have been threatening to send him to jail through media. He has requested to “ensure that no precipitate legal action is carried out to frame me with ulterior motives”.

Earlier the National Congress Party leader and Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik made a remark saying that officer will lose his job. "They (BJP) have a puppet - Wankhede. He raises bogus cases against people. I challenge that Wankhede that he'll lose his job within a year... We have evidence of bogus cases," Mr Malik was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.

On Sunday, a witness Prakhakar Sail who claims to be a personal bodyguard to KP Gosavi, the alleged private investigator whose selfie with Aryan Khan went viral. He claims on October 3, he overheard a conversation between KP Gosavi and Sam D’souza about an 18-croce deal. KP Gosavi who has gone missing said they will have to give 8 crores to Sameer Wankhede, said Mr Sail in an affidavit. Prabhakar Sail also said following KP Gosavi’s instructions he received two bags’ cash of Rs 38 lakh and handed them to Sam D’souza.

Sanjay Raut took to twitter and while sharing a video wrote “Witnes in Aryan Khan case made to sign on blank paper by NCB is shocking. Also, thr r reports that thr ws demnd of huge money. As per sources, NCB to widen its probe into the Mumbai cruise drugs case and also check financial transactions of Aryan Khan and other accused. NCB’s raid and search operation are going on in some areas of Mumbai. The search is going on sine late night said Rajeev Singh. After the special court refused to grant bail to Aryan Khan on Wednesday, the application has been moved to Bombay High Court and will be heard on October 26.
