Neetu and Rishi Kapoor married in 22 January 1980 and had two kids - Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and Ranbir Kapoor. Riddhima is a fashion designer and Ranbir is a Hindi film actor. Rishi Kapoor, is one of the most successful Indian actors of his generation, was diagnosed with leukaemia in 2018 and went to New York for treatment. After a long battle with illness, he died in April 2020, at the age of 67.
Neetu is making her comeback to the screen as the Judge on Dance Deewane Juniors, a children's dance based reality show. The upcoming episode will feature a tribute to Rishi Kapoor. Neetu Kapoor will be seen feeling emotional and crying when she remembers her late husband, the actor Rishi Kapoor. After a contestant's grandmother shared that her husband met Rishi back in 1974, and how he always helped him.
The show Dance Deewane Juniors has won people's heart with its launch. The show offers a grand platform for the young kids to showcase their dance talent and win prizes. For the present season, some extremely talented kids have come together on the stage and have been impressing the audience with their exceptional performances. The show is judged by veteran actress Neetu Kapoor, actress Nora Fatehi and choreographer Marzi Pestonji.
In a video from the upcoming episode of Dance Deewane Juniors, a contestant's grandmother tells Neetu about her family's connection to Rishi. She says, "My husband met Rishi Ji in 1947 and he always talked about him. Rishi Ji always supported my husband and I would like to sing a few lines in his memory." As she then continues to sing Reshma's popular 'Ballad Lambi Judaai'.
Neetu is seen becoming emotional and suffocating. Soon, Neetu returns from the stage to the judge’s chair and tells how many people share stories with Rishi that she always feels connected to him. She says, "Rishi Ji is not here but I meet someone every day and every day someone reminds me of him. Everyone has one story or another with them. Somehow, somewhere, he is still connected with me."
Neetu will also be soon seen on screen for the first time in almost a decade. She is starring in Jug Jugg Jeeyo, which also features Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, and Anil Kapoor. It is an upcoming Hindi - language comedy - drama film directed by Raj Mehta and produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta. The film is scheduled for release on 24 June 2022.
Neetu was last on screen in the 2013 film Besharam, where she co - starred with Rishi and Ranbir. Meanwhile, Neetu Kapoor was snapped outside Ranbir and Alia's residence in the Pali Hill area of Mumbai, post their wedding.
While Neetu wore a pink suit, Shaheen seen clad in a light color kurta paired with a brown palazzo and Soni in a grey - pink floral print suit.
