Pankaj Tripathy talks about His Popularity After The Success Of Mirzapur

In an interview,Pankaj Tripathy talks about Mirzapur season 2, how he became extremely popular after the success of his character 'Kaleen Bhaiya'. He talks about, how 'Mirzapur' changed his life.
Pankaj Tripathy debut in Bollywood with 2004 film 'Run'. In 2012, we all have seen him in his iconic role as Sultan Qureshi, in Anurag Kashyap’s  crime drama film' Gangs Of Wasseypur'. After that, we all have seen him in his second iconic role as 'Kaleen Bhaiya', in the 2018 in web series 'Mirzapur'. Now, the second season of Mirzapur is coming up on October 23, 2020, on Amazon Prime Video.
In his recent interview, Pankaj Tripathy talked about the immense popularity he gained after the success of Mirzapur. He told in one of his interview that,‘’Don’t ask, at least 50-60 people used to ask me daily.And finally, the date is October 23 and people are going to feel relaxed since a big question has been answered.’’
He also said that  ‘’All characters are very good. People really love them but the popularity of Kaleen Bhaiya gave me  an actor- people know me as Kaleen bhaiya. This is what the character has done. It has made me really popular.’’The actor was shooting for ’83 and Mirzapur 2’ simultaneously. Session 1 of ‘’Mirzapur’’ was ended with the death of the two most important characters of the season, Bablu Pandit played by Vikrant Massey and Sweety Gupta played by Shriya Pilgaonkar.
He also believes in that, it was ‘’Mirzapur’’  that helped him in becoming what he is today.
Mirzapur season 1, was ended with the death of Bablu and Sweaty, the two most important characters of the series. The second is all about the revenge of ‘’Guddu Pandit’’ from ‘’Munna Tripathy’’, about the loss of his younger brother and her wife.
