Richa Chadha pays tribute to 'Late Smita Patil'

She pens a special post on Instagram


Taking to her Instagram account, Bollywood actor Richa Chadha shared a new photo of herself. She dressed up like Late Indian Film actor Smita Patil and posed for the cover of a magazine's Women's Day special edition. 

 

Smita Patil was an Indian actress of film. She appeared in over 80 Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, Malayalam and Kannada films in her career. During her career, she received two National Film Awards and a Filmfare Award. She was the recipient of the Padma Shri in 1985. Actor died at the age of 31. 

 

Sharing the photo, Richa wrote on Instagram, "Dukh se agar pehchan na ho toh, kaisa sukh aur kaisi khushiyan. Toofano se ladke hi toh, lagte hai sahil etne pyaare, (What is happiness with sorrow. She dressed up in a yellow attire and traditional jewelry complete with a nose ring and jhoomar to get the right look. Richa said, "I won't smile for this shot. The image should reflect the tragic and turbulent life that she led on - screen as well off - screen. ".

 

Showing her obvious love and respect for Smita Patil, many fans have also commented on Richa's picture appreciating the post. Richa also paid tributes to Meena Kumar and Zeenat Aman as part of the photo shoot. 

 

Actor Prateik Babbar, son of Smita Patil, dropped a heart icon in reaction to her look. A fan also commented, "Wow  ...u remind me of Smita Patil. “Another commented, "Brilliant tribute and great to see a phenomenal actor like Smita Patil remembered. The poster shows you have done justice to portray her, I'm sure it wasn't to enact Smita Patil. "

 

Richa Chadha was seen on the silver screen in Panga. The movie starred Kangana Ranaut in the lead role of a Kabaddi player. Her last theatrical release was Madam Chief Minister. She recently appeared in web series, the great Indian Murder. She will now be seen in Fukrey 3 and Abhi Toh Parti Shuru Hui Hai.
