Salman Khan Congratulates Boxer Nikhat Zareen Khan

Women's World Boxing Championship!

India's Nikhat Zareen Khan bagged the gold medal in the 52 kg category at the Women's World Boxing Championship on Thursday, May 19, 2022, with a win over Thailand's Jitpong Jutamas.

It was also India's first gold medal since boxing great Mary Kom won it in 2018. Nikhat got off to a lively start and hit some sharp punches to quickly take the upper hand in the opening three minutes against confident Jutamas, who came into the match defeating the three time World Championships medallist Kazakhstan's Zhaina Shekerbekova.

Basking the glory of her achievement, World Boxing Champion Nikhat Zareen has become the talk of the town. She has been receiving congratulatory messages and ovation from all the corners of the world. Salman Khan on Friday shared the video on his Twitter and congratulated Nikhat for making India proud.

Salman tweeted, "Congratzz on this gold Nikhat." Nikhat said that it was a 'dream come true' to receive the message from the actor and described it as a fangirl moment. She tweeted, "Being a die-hard fan girl, it's one of my favourite dream come true. I could never believe that @BeingSalmanKhan would tweet for me. I'm so much humbled. You are the man who loves & cares unconditionally. Wishing you many more years of a happy and successful life. Happy Birthday @BeingSalmanKha."
