FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week
The most awaited Lakme Fashion Week is back with its 2022 edition, it has been named FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week 2022. The show will be held from 23rd March onwards to 27th March 2022. The event is being hosted at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium based in New Delhi, India. The show was opened by the ace fashion designer Mr. Rahul Mishra on 23rd March 2022. There will be a total of two showcase areas during the event - The first is Runway and the second is Atelier.
The FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week 2022 passes are by an invitation only. Moreover, the audience can watch the whole show on digital platforms.
The joint Fashion Week, FDCI and Lakme Fashion Week's show is in full swing. The first two days saw activity from new designers at the INIFD Launchpad Shows and renowned names showcasing their latest collection while sustainable brands too took the front row on day 2.
Closing Day 3 of the Fashion Week, is ace luxury and Bollywood Designer Manish Malhotra presented his new Collection 'Diffuse'. Magical and glamorous are two words of many that are a staple in any of Manish Malhotra's collections. With undying energy and total party vibes, the designer unveiled his collection 'Diffuse' which was all about the right amount of glamour with popping and vibrant colors.
Shanaya Kapoor is a new starlet on the block who is glamorous, fabulous and has made everyone curious. Before she makes her debut in a Karan Johar Production, the would - be - actress made her ramp debut at Manish Malhotra's show on Day 3 of FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week. The actress made her debut as a showstopper alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi. The duo looked smashing on the runway together in outfits from Manish's new collection 'Diffuse'.
Shanaya was seen adorning maximal glam, her makeup was flawless with minimal concealer covering up her blemishes. Shimmery eyelids, poker - straight hair and glossy lips. She rocked the ramp in a beautiful metallic toned gown which radiated bluish - purple tones. The embellished ensemble featured a backless style which accentuated the style. Her neutral glam makeup and subtle open tresses perfectly suited the attire.
Meanwhile, Siddhant walked the ramp with Shanaya in a coordinated suit set that matched the color combination of her ensemble. He wore a long jacket featuring large notch lapel collars, open fronts, multi - hued thread embroidery in blue, pink and purple geometric patterns and sequins. He layered the jacket over a black button - down shirt and embroidered straight fit pants. A silver chain, black shoes, groomed beard, curly back - swept locks, and minimal makeup.
"Manish is the best of the best. I was very excited, the second he called me I was like, this is actually happening! Making my ramp walk debut for Manish, I couldn't have asked for anything better. Just waking on the ramp was exciting, very thrilling. I am just looking forward to walking for Manish in the Future. I love all his pieces. I feel Diffuse represents my style very well. There is so much detailing in what I am wearing today, but it's so fresh, young and vibrant," Shanaya said after the show.
Siddhant was also very excited about making his debut at the FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week, and talked about a time when he was rejected as a ramp model. He said, "I remember when I used to go for auditions, back in the day, there used to be modelling auditions as well. I knew how to act, but I didn't know how to walk as a model. I tried auditioning for one of those ramp events and I got rejected".
He added, "This is a dream come true for me. It is an honor. My first ever ramp walk at Lakme Fashion Week and that too with your collection," he told Manish. Talking about the clothes - this is very vibrant and colorful, and very summery.
