Sidharth Shukla Mortal Remains Taken To Crematorium For Last Rites

Police and the media descended at the Cooper Hospital. Many celebrities were spotted outside his home to attend the funeral.

Sidharth Shukla, best known for appearing on popular television show Balika Vadhu and winning reality show Bigg Boss 13, was hospitalized on Thursday morning but was declared dead on arrival due to heart attack. The cause of death has not been confirmed yet.

Sidharth Shukla's mortal remains were taken directly from the Cooper Hospital to Oshiwara crematorium to perform the last rites of the actor. Earlier, the body was to be taken from the hospital to his residence but later it was decided to take it directly to the crematorium.

Few glimpses of a police "bandobast" outside the hospital were shared online. Reuters were also present while an ambulance waited outside. Actor Arjun Bijlani and models Aly Goni and Asim Riaz arrived at the late actor's house. Aly and Asim were in the same Bigg Boss season as Sidharth.

"They rushed him to the hospital dead some time ago," a senior Cooper Hospital official told PTI. "The first report indicates that he died of a heart attack, but we won't be able to determine the cause of death until the autopsy is complete," a senior doctor in the hospital's forensics department told the sources.

According to former Bigg Boss candidate Rahul Mahajan, who visited Sidharth's house after his death, Shehnaaz "went completely pale, as if a storm had just passed and washed it all away," he stated to the sources. Salman Khan and many Bollywood personalities condoled his death on social media.
