Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi promotes Movie Double XL in Delhi

Double XL that also features Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal in leading roles…

Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi arrived in Delhi to promote their upcoming movie Double XL.

That Huma Qureshi's sense of humour is always on fleek, is no secret anymore.

As per the statement given by Saqib Salee“Matlab ek time aiesa aagaya tha guys ki main Huma ke saamne se khaana uthake leke jaa rahaan tha. I was like XXXL film banani padegi. Iss script main itna hi kha sakte ho aap. But I would like to say that both Huma and Sonakshi have taken the tasks seriously and worked so hard towards it," Saqib Saleem told us.

Soon after, Huma Qureshi took over from Saqib to explain why Double XL was a catharic journey for her, before giving a sweet shoutout to all the 'misfits out there'.

"... Every girl who's been told this and can identify with it, and that has been my only reason for doing this movie. Any girl, whatever size you may be or you think you may be, she should identify with my character. So, Double XL is for all the misfits out there or who have been told that they are misfits," says Huma Qureshi.

Huma said the story of Double XL resonated with her as throughout her 10 year journey in the movies, she has been told that she doesn’t fit the “mould” of a conventional Hindi film heroine.

If there is a plus size character in the film, they are at the centre of the joke. In this film, we don’t want people to laugh at them but with them. After being called a big girl my whole life, I was doing this film… I always believed I’m not a big girl, I’m a beautiful girl. This is for all those who have been told they are misfits,” Huma said.

Double XL is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Vipul D Shah, Ashwin Varde, Rajesh Bahl, Saqib Saleem, Huma and Mudassar Aziz. Saqib said as somebody who has been guilty of body shaming and realised his mistake with time, the subject felt relevant to come on board as a producer.

The film is scheduled to be released on Friday.
