Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on Monday. The actress took to her social media and updated her fans about the same along with picture, where she was seen getting the jab on her left arm. "#Vaccine manjhe #Victory!!!" Sonakshi captioned the photo on her instagram post, encouraging fans and followers to get vaccinated and also take precaution for healthy life.
Many Bollywood stars have started the vaccination process. Including Madhuri Dixit, Pulkit Samrat, Radhika Madan, Anil Kapoor and more. Earlier in the day, Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia Deshmukh got their dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
Apart from her several celebrities gets first dose of vaccine and shared it on social media like Riteish Deshmukh and his wife Genelia D'Souza. They announced for their fans, that they taking precautions and also following Covid-19 protocols during tough time of amid virus.
According to the rules of vaccination, the drive was rolled out on January 16 with healthcare workers and frontline people getting vaccinated first which was for countrywide, then second followed by the next phase meant for over 60 years of age and people who had diabetes and blood pressure problem and third rollout for people aged 45 and above with specified co-morbid conditions, which started from March 1. Now fourth slot of vaccination is for people above 18 years to get vaccinated from May 1, 2021.
